I've heard that quite a bit of content was cut from Destiny late in development to be sold later as DLC. Don't know how much truth there is to that though as I haven't read much about the game because of its multiplayer focus, an area of gaming I have no interest in whatsoever. But if it is true that's pretty slimy.

That's fine but you're the one that claimed they're 10X as powerful as last gen and they aren't. Hell, one of them is only half that. And native 1080p? X1 games are 900p much of the time and considering the framerate of many of PS4's games it is largely a 1080p pretender.

Well, your predictions were pretty damned pessimistic. I was expecting consoles that truly were 10X as powerful as the previous gen considering it had been 8 years long. And the 10X as powerful claim is one that both MS and Sony were throwing around in the early days of these consoles. But it's a lie, X1 is around half of that, PS4 around 70% of that. If they really were 10X the power of last gen I'd be happy with both of them.

The point is that outside of the RAM amount the 10X as powerful claim is marketing bs.

@PAL360: Are you serious? GPU-wise X1 is 5X the power of 360, PS4 7X the power of 360. CPU-wise it's less than that. The only area where they actually achieved the 10X claim is with the memory and MS managed to flub even that to a degree.

7? Wow, that's generous. The lack of power in the hardware I mentioned earlier is just one problem. There's all the microtransactions, unnecessary DLC, endless patches, etc. Seriously, does anybody ship a game that is actually ready to be shipped anymore?

Oh, they went that route? Well, that's certainly a good reason to avoid it. I wish death or at the very least considerable pain on any franchise/company that elects to dwell in that sewer.

Considering that it came out for PS3 at the end of its life cycle this seems like a nothing statistic to me. If it were a PS4 game and sold like that then that would be a different story.
