AI assisted production in entertainment is going to become completely standard without a doubt, it's going to upset a LOT of people and put nearly as many out of work probably but within a few years making anything artistic or software oriented without using AI assistance is going to be like building a house without power tools or baking bread in the ashes of your hearth.
And just like the automobile put farriers out of work but completely transformed what was possible in the world, I'm betting it's going to result in a golden era for indie developers that allows them to produce games comparable to the AAA's but with all the weird, unique and heart-filled style that AAA lacks.
AAA is going to squander the potential just like they always do. So the question is, what will be the Braid, Gish or World of Goo in that new world?
I still like how they put out the BR mode like a month after actively promising to never have direct PVP in Fortnite and how they would never abandon the co-op side of the game.
This last year has been an utter crock for online stuff. Fingers crossed this is the last generation of live service stuff dependent on online that disappears eventually.
