[QUOTE="SuperMooseman"]Please read the first post. - Free (or trial) - Full res - No watermarks - No time limit on recording

no offense but that's sort of demanding. You want something for free and you want it fully featured. I don't know of any free software without time limits or watermarks. Having said that, Fraps is a great recording software. you can trial it for free and get all the features you want for $37. That's not really a lot of money when you consider they did put a lot of time and effort into programing it.

[QUOTE="lordlunch2"]http://www.gamesradar.com/f/the-2008-pc-builders-bible/a-20080918153014865039 That is a link to the Pcgamer Pc builders bible. I think it is a great guide to get an idea of how it all works. Hope it helps!

This is what I used my first time years ago.

this should be in the hardware forum but since you asked... This is an odd setup. You have a fast single core processor and 3 gig of ram but a 7800 GT? I would check your hardware again if you aren't sure. The video card needs to be improved first though and I don't think there is much doubt. As far as a new cpu its very easy. You simply unscrew the cpu fan and a skinny metal level will be able to pop out. Just drop your new cpu in and close the lever. The catch is that your socket configuration must match. We don't have enough info here to know your socket type but it will be something like LG775. you just need to buy the same type.

Well what's your price limit? I use the Creative HS-1000 which is pretty comfortable, has a good detachable mic, and excellent sound quality. Plan on paying $50-$80 for them.

tf2 has some servers without blood and its cartoony so you don't have to worry too much about realism.

edit: tf2 is Team Fortress 2 btw

the mx518 is an optical mouse and the g5 is a laser mouse. The laser is more accurate. the g5 also allows you to add or take away weight to get the right feel for you. Aslo the g5 goes to 2000 dpi and the mx518 only to 1600 dpi but this is sort of trivial to be honest.

Alienware builds great computers. They are expensive but so is a ferrari. Now yes you could build a 200 mph car yourself for a lot less but it would take time, effort, education, and some knowledge of tools. $4000 is a lot of money but it was worth it to him and there are computers that sell for a lot more. CPU and Maximum PC regularly review desktops in the 5-10K range. When I built my first computer I got a power supply that was DOA. I didn't know which part was the problem when my pc wouldn't post and I didn't have the equipment to find out. Plus I had warranties through half a dozen different manufacturers. Buying a pc isn't stupid, it's just another choice.

I use a G5 and don't have any complaints. It gives you a real edge in multiplayer games. Skids nicely, non-kinking cord, adjustable dpi for sniping, convenient thumb button which has all sorts of uses. Its the perfect mouse.
