I just recently downloaded it with the 50% off deal. Its been going great but at first everytime I quit it would crash but this obviously didn't matter to me lol. But now during a game it would suddenly freeze for a bit and then stop responding. And sometimes I would enter a game and see these white lines in the graphics they're like the frames of models.. not sure if thats related though. Any advice?Candy-StarI have experienced both the crashing upon exit and the white lines bugs. Like you I don't really care about crashing on exit. My solution for the lines is that you just have to leave the server and come back. This has worked for me most of the time and I only see this bug probably 1% of the time. The freezing is something I haven't experienced. Its unusual because TF2 tends to be pretty stable during gameplay. This is surely a driver issue or a corrupted file issue. I would remove TF2 and reinstall it. So in steam just right click on TF2 and select delete local content. Then just double click on it to reinstall once the uninstall is complete. If that doesn't work I would start looking at a video card driver or a memory issue. Do any other programs freeze up? Also have you been alt-tabing or trying to minimize the game or pushing the windows key? Does it freeze during normal action or when there are a lot of Particle effects like bullets and smoke and gun flashes going on? Anyways those are a couple of things to try first. Hope that helps.
You can install any game on as many computers as you want. You can play games on only one computer at a time that is connected to the steam service using your account. No, there are no download limits.spierdalaj666yeah steam is great for playing games on multiple computers
Honestly theres no big differences in Performance between that and 17 inch Monitor. I have a 9600gt on a 17inch Monitor so I'm playing at 1280x1024 Res. and when turning it down to 1024x768 I get almost the same fps maybe a half to 1fps more. So I would go with a 17inch Monitor.TuzolordI think this may be fine for you siafni considering the video card you are talking about, but I did want to correct the above quote. Resolution has a huge effect on FPS. If its not effecting your fps all that means is that you have some other limiting factor. If you can't play a game in a screens native resolution and scale it back it won't look as good as the same resolution on a smaller screen, where it is native. Just so you know I am not blowing smoke PC gamer did an article on picking a screen size in their 2007 pc building bible, where they made this exact point.
Just to confirm this is correct. Its a cd problem. Also note that playing kotor2 on vista is a huge pain so be prepared to post again if you have vista.A redundancy error would suggest corrupt data. If everything is working fine until the third disc, it's could be a scratched disc or just dirty. Try cleaning it if you haven't already. Funnily enough I recall having the same problem with this game and I think I just kept trying until it finally completed the installation. If that doesn't help there isn't much left except contact the publisher for a replacement copy (or the store where you bought it if you did so recently).
btw nothing to do with this problem, but just because you can run game X doesn't automatically mean you can run anything that came before it. As far as I know games are almost never officially supported to run on laptop hardware so there's always a chance that you're going to run into problems.

Thought I'd mix up our ussual discussions here. So that's the question.
We now have 4 civilization games and a alpha centauri which is a civ clone, 3 pirates! games, 4 railroad tycoon games, and 2 colonization games. This used to be one of the great inovators in the field and it seems like now he's been reduced to replicating his past creations. Its sort of sad really.
Anyways, like I said all the discussions are starting to sound alike so I thought we could talk about something new.
