VR is a very important part of the future.

No it's not.

As if someone as close-minded as you would know anything about the future.

Oh yeah, didn't you say that the future can't be predicted? Not a good look, Dzimm. Not a good look at all.

But- but VR is the future!

PSVR2 is still coming, and VR is a very important part of the future.

@darthbuzzard: It will be several steps forward for gamers though who don't want or care about the gimmick called VR.

I wouldn't be surprised if you would complain about how it's stale and not revolutionary enough because of FPS gaming being stagnant in recent years.

No thanks. Alyx is spinoff thats why it worked.

HL3 being VR exclusive having invisible arms would be slap in face of franchise.

HL3 would be at least 4 years off, at which point full body tracking will be viable with camera-based tracking meaning it can finally be standardized.

If isn't a VR game, it would feel like a huge step back. HL3 needs to be not just a step forward from Alyx, but a big step forward. I don't care if they utilize a PS7 for HL3; it's always going to be a step back from Alyx if it's not a VR game.

Disgusting, by that i mean that people use Facebook & VR.

Disgusting indeed, especially in a pandemic where it's the most powerful substitute for large scale communication and telepresence.

Cyberpunk 2077 is up next. I'd be surprised if it truly shines as an FPS, but it's looking like it should be incredible as an RPG and open world.

@darthbuzzard: Ah talk about shilling something you have no confidence in, we're done as you've been exposed as a fraud lol.

I have full confidence in this timeline. I never claimed it would be mainstream in 5 years. I said what do you think would happen in 5?

@darthbuzzard: Being an irrelevant gimmick is the only evidence you need.

So basically, you've got nothing. Figures.

No ... VR has nothing but bad ports, horror games (granted, those are cool) and a single well received exclusive game made by Valve ... and even that wasn't a system seller, so if Valve couldn't make VR popular and it's been 5 years since they started with this tech, then it's a gimmick ... irrelevant.

What else do you want to add ? That we should wait ? sure, let's wait another 5 years if you want. By the way, hoy many VR games were announced for PS5 and Series X ?

Most VR ports are the definitive version. Don't believe me? Check all reviews/feedback for the following: Hellblade, Wipeout, Tetris Effect, Rez Infinite, Alien Isolation, RE7, Thumper, Elite Dangerous.

People have chosen: they prefer VR for those games.

And VR has more than Alyx.

Ingenious nah, delusional yep lol.

Cool. So what are your predictions for the next 5 years if you're so confident?

Will VR grow or will it decline? Will it get more AAAs or will it get none after Alyx?

In 5yrs i predict that you will have a new username, and be here saying just you wait in another 5yrs it will be mainstream lol.

Talk about dodging the question. Forget about me. Where will VR be in 5 years?

Lol ... VR is a fad, anyone denying it is just being delusional.

Where's the evidence for it being a fad? Please do tell.

I didn't dodge the question, it was in my comment, in 5yrs you will say that in 5yrs it will be mainstream, so in 5yrs from now it will either be dead or still niche.

So are you saying that in 5yrs VR will be mainstream?

No. VR gaming will be mainstream in 7-8 years. That's what I will stick with.
