Ok right now I am running 158 driver and I get good performance with it, but the newest driver 162.22 I see people getting mixed reviews, some people actually lose performance some gain it, so I am not sure to download altough I would like to squezze some more juice out of the 8800GTS if possible.

Get the 8600GT and OC and you will almost get yourself a 8600GTS for 30-40 dollars less

1950pro is better but the 7900GS overclocks better and uses less power.

Why would you try to overclock a quadcore, that CPU does not need to be overclocked, its too good.

Yea man just get a 7900GS or 1950pro since they are cheap as dirt, I know one thing a 9800GTX is going to cost a arm and a half a leg.

Dont feel like searching now but, its like this 8600GTS is equal around 7950GT, 8600GT is just slightly less powerful than a 7900GS, but when overclocked it will beat a stock 7900GS, heck even a stock 8600GT scores more than a 7900GS in 3dmark06, it must be doing something right.

Thats bs 7900gs doesnt outperform 8600GTS, infact 8600GTS beats 7900 by a wide margin, overclocked 8600GT beats 7900GS to.

Considering that the Xenos chip is a fully unified architecture and shares some other DirectX 10 features (even if it itself is not 100% DirectX 10 compliant), I would be more inclined to say that the HD 2900XT is the way to go if you want Xbox 360-like performance and graphics.

1950XTX will eat xenos for breakfast and dont get me started on the 2900XT, dont even use xenos and 2900xt in the same sentence please.
