@YoreLore The difference in that though is that the loans you pay will cover the cost almost tenfold. With cars, it is that as well as parts and services. Although I agree under the law you are legally able to re-sell, pubs and devs don't have those options like homes and cars to recoup most of the money. Honestly, I think the issue is more on the pricing of games in general

@YoreLore @XboxWon Well, the game industry is different. As far as it being different on how things are bought and sold, no. Laws allows us to sell things without the permission from the creator or copyright. The issue though is if it isn't made in the US, then they could sue.

@meatz666 @MajinSquall @XboxWon Publishers don't just do that, they provide the funds to actually produce the game. It is like an artist being signed to a label, the artist makes the music, the label provides the ads, radio spins, music videos etc etc.

@YoreLore The funny thing is, there were actual laws that were about to be passed on selling stuff. And, there have been cases where people have been sued for re-selling products. When they are made overseas, you can actually loophole the US law. So I firmly believe if other industry could, they would.

@meatz666 I believe that pirating games on the PC is easier than on a console. For example, if they just started making games to always be online, you would have to sign into the network in order to play it.

@EL_Bomberdor @GSGuy321 Sony did file a patent which to be honest, is waaay worse than what MS is doing. It talks about ID tags on a game and having something that is unique to only that person so only they can access it (retina scans and finger prints). I saw an article on it and they linked the patient site, I googled it just to make sure it wasn't a fake page and it is legit. Whether it will be on the PS4 is unknown, but this does show that they had it in their minds

@GSGuy321 @OniLordAsmodeus I feel that would be a good option. IF you don't want to deal with the piracy, offer discounts on digital buys

@GSGuy321 but there are checks on the offline mode too, not 24 hours of course. It seems to vary with some folks, some can go week, months without a check, some go only a few days.

I'll just stick with a basketball and play outside for a while, save me up some money

@telaros The problem is, Sony filed a patient for similar software. If it happens to appear on the PS4, then what? You can go to PC gaming, but if you hate all of this DRm talk, then Steam is what you would hate too. Wii U is an option. Board and card games have been around forever and they NEVER have any kind of DRM on them. Monopoly anyone? Or, you can pick the lesser of the 2 evils. Many people think MS is evil, but at least they said they were going to do something like this, Sony basically lied (if it was all true btw).

@alien33 @dman123_1 yep, similar to how Steam works. I think they may be more like steam with the offline mode though.
