@yob711 But that isn't simple nor convenient for most folks. They would rahter just buy it ready to go, but that would cost them almost twice as much for a console for one that will play most games on high settings for at least 5 plus years
I have read something interesting. ALl Blu-Ray players since the year 2012 have a system that can detect pirated video and will suggest that people purchase the retail copy....
So what if there is a modified system that does the same for software?? Xone and PS4 both have Blu-Ray players....
@JBStone1981 @ACLOVERLORD @AK_the_Twilight Actually, the way he seemed to explain it was that if you didn't own the game, it will take you to a place where you can purchase it, so originally, it would hurt Gamestop in that sense
@Commander_Snowy apart of me wants to agree, but deep down I know they wanted this to be something everyone can enjoy and not be looked at as some toy, for that, you have to add additional focus on these things. I can say MS underestimated the hype and expectations the gamers have for this console. I do believe their plan was to reveal the console and it's feature and all the gaming related things will be shown at gaming related events. I'm sure the reporters that were at the reveal weren't all from gaming sites, so it was for a broader appeal. I understood it and I think a lot of others do as well, it's just they wanted more info on the games and not some tiny teaser of the usual
