@i-blast-brain Killzone 2 and 3 are freaking incredible dude- the only weak one was the first one; but this one does look particularly awesome

I also encourage people to check out the episode of "Penn & Teller's Bullsh*t!" where they tackle video game violence. The experiment where they let a 9 year old Call of Duty/Ghost Recon fan fire an AR-15 is a great example of how shooters have essentially no relevance on real-world skills and mentalities.

I'm all for larger fines for the sale of M-rated games to minors. Retailers need to make it their responsibility to ensure employees are checking ID for mature content. Not because a 16 year old doesn't have every bit as much right to play a Halo game as a 17 year old, but because if the parents are required to purchase the mature content, they'll stop blaming the developers for making the games and look in the mirror at the mother/father who bought the game for their child.

I really hope DmC sells well enough to warrant a sequel- I thoroughly enjoyed the new game

@hitomo Original game was "smart and ironic"? How? Devil May Cry was cheesy B-horror fun at best that didn't try to tackle any kind of greater theme. DmC attempts to criticize capitalism/consumerism, features a boss fight with a demonic Bill-O'Reilly-esque character and Dante's sensibilities and perspective develop over the course of the game; turning him from a loud mouth, hard drinking womanizer, into a true hero who cares about humanity because of his (rather organically developed) love for Kat. You didn't play the game, did you?

@Born_Lucky And old Dante looked like someone from a Korean boy band, your point?

@brantkings @grey_fox1984 @foxfacer2d2 I was talking about Dante in DmC - I played the whole game over the weekend and if he did smoke cigarettes in the game at any point, it wasn't obvious enough for me to take note of. I brought up Snake and Vanquish as a means of saying that OBVIOUS smoking in games still doesn't affect my opinion of the games themselves (I'm a huge Metal Gear fan and Vanquish was awesome). I'm an ex smoker and know first hand the affects it can have on your physical endurance and what a drain it can be on your wallet, but the choice to smoke is on the smoker and the smoker alone- games and movies shouldn't have any affect on your decision to smoke or not.

@foxfacer2d2 And for the record- i don't even remember seeing him smoking in the game, so if it does happen in the game, it is such a minor detail that it didn't even register with me.
