@erytas Sorry to tell you the PC version has the same bugs that consoles, it looks better ofcourse, but although the mouse does give you incredible accuracy while aiming the keyboard is a cumbersome piece of equipment which makes moving and other selection and maneuvering task rather clunky, it just feel not intuitive because it wasn't made for gaming but for typing. In that sense I prefer a control pad any day and sacrifice accuracy in exchange of maneuverability.
As a huge fan of the series I gotta say I'm very skeptical about this game. I don't know, it just looks like it's missing that old Tomb Raider essence and has become something else. The trailers just show a bunch of cut scenes and QTE's. I really miss "the last revelation" and the challenging platforming and puzzles, dark, mysterious tombs and temples with all the mythology and magic.
Quote: "Far Cry 3 is above direct comparisons, instead standing out as an individual shooter in a genre crowded with copycats. While linear power-trip shooters will probably always have a role, I suspect that Far Cry 3, Natural Selection, and Planetside 2 pave the way to the future" (kevin VanOrd).
That's exactly the way I think and the reason I wrote in a previous post that we may see an "open world" CoD in the future, which would be a good thing. Open world is the future of gaming so GTA will continue to be king while Far Cry 3 has me covered till GTA5 release.
@NTM23 Have to disagree here, Far Cry 3 has taken FPS to new ground in addition to having solid RPG, exploration and platforming elements which make a great candidate for GOTY.
Looks truly interesting, maybe striking the perfect balance between the ridiculous but high fun GTSA and the boring hyper realistic but beautiful GTA4. This is going to be one of those epic games that raise the bar, similar to what Far Cry 3 has done to the FPS genre. Hopefully we'll see an open world CoD sometime in the future.
@boixwunder Agree, AI seems dumb, but I for one can say that playing in warrior difficulty makes them a lot more alert to you, spotting you from greater distances and firing with enhanced accuracy at longer ranges. Then ofcourse you'll have to deal with Hoyt's mercenaries, which are a real challenge in the south island.
Not a bad game, so not a bad choice although I think Far Cry 3 is superior, anyways I think FC3 is GOTY all across platforms and genres. At least it wasn't CoD.
