@NewShire CoDBO will be a rental at most. Definitely not worth my hard earned $60.

@---Cipher--- That is really a terrible thing for gaming. I just hope people would be a little more demanding of they're games, in which case CoDBO wouldn't even be an option against FC3.

Absolutely if people compare game value then definitely FC3 is much superior to CoDBO. In reference to content and scope FC3 offers much, much more.

Still CoD has a huge fan base ( one I don't understand ) but I guess these two games will captivate gamers with different profiles.

I for one had no plans of purchasing another CoD timed even fest, while FC3 is a highly anticipated must buy for me. I think FC3 will be fine.

CoD is a paradox, you just can't scientifically explain why so many play it when it's one of the most shallow games ever made. Choose wisely people.

@leviathanwing @jay_rock_ True. I don't understand why games want to be so much like novels and movies, when it should be the other way around.

Every type of media has it's purpose and I really think games main focus should be interaction and freedom, letting the player have many things to do and many ways to do it.

For water cooler moments I'll watch some Stallone action flicks, and to feel pity and sentimental I'll read some novels. If the gameplay is poor in interaction and freedom then a game sucks.

@leviathanwing You didn't really analyze the meaning of my comment. Although true they're not related in aspects like Genre, Scope, Subject, Developer, etc. they share a very important aspect. A huge gameplay transformation that will leave the series unrecognizable. From there my association.

From what I've seen so far TR is heading down the same path that RE took, by practically transforming the game into another timed event, cinematic mess, when that is not what made the series or built its fan base, but the original gameplay mechanics. It's practically a slap to the face of the fans.

@POP-3D Agree, excellent series as a whole, It's something with the creepy atmosphere in "the last revelation", the darkness, the music, the sounds, the skeletons and mummies coming to life, it's incredibly inmerssive.

Because I'm such a huge fan of the TR series (the last revelation is among my 10 favorites) I will not dismiss this yet as Junk although from trailers it looks so. Probably will wait for some user and pro reviews and some gameplay footage on youtube, then I'll see if it convinces me.

Excellent material for a MOVIE. Taking a series and completely scratching all the mechanics that defined it can't end well, but don't believe me, go to Resident Evil 6 for reference of my viewpoint. This is exactly the same. Just like RE6 turned a horror/survival and exploration focused game into some timed event, cinematic mess, so will TR be transformed into the same thing RE6 got turned into with animals instead of zombies. Not very interested.

That's called exploitation of no backwards compatibility. The sun will not shine for gamers as long as current trends continue to be.
