Well, people just like to follow trends, even when its dumb. I tried apple products for a while and believe me, now I wouldn't be caught dead wit an i pad, ipod, etc. Why put up with the restricting, limiting, controlling, wallet draining, forced i tunes interface when you have all the freedom in the world with android devices. Yeah, just to be trendy.

Hmmm..how will it turn out??. The series was called the "thinking man" shooter, for all the strategy and tactics that played a role in the firefights. This was more SOCOM tha CoD. Will it end up being called the "button mashing" shooter?

@Spartan_418 Agreed, but I think consumer feedback is very very important to the industry, or at lest it should be, but quite is not. Most of the complaints I have towards particular products are not based on technical issues or the nature of the product, but rather on bad decisions made by the people making the product.

Things that you just ask yourself: Why the hell would they do it that way??? when it's just absurdly obvious it would have been perfect the other way. That happens a lot in games. They make the dumbest decisions and screw a potentially great game. Or change something that was great and make it terrible, and you ask, WHY??

That tells me many leading the industry don't have a clue about what they're doing. Take for example Mercenaries 2. Why did they make weapon accuracy so terribly retarded when it was great in Mercs 1? It was a decision made by a jerk that should have never been in a game studio. Among other horrible decisions made.

It wasn't a bug or technical issue, it was decided to be designed so. That's why I say gamers are the experts, not the people working at the industry. A gamer would have killed the game before sending it out for retail with those horrible features, included by design, not by mistake.

"Innovation" is a wide idea, so far I don't like how the industry is innovating, so I take this word with plenty of skepticism when it comes from developers or publishers. They might innovate in ways that screw us while it makes them rich.

@J4m3sR4n0r72 Agree, how about banning bad escort missions instead of banning used games?

@Spartan_418 hmmm... well, again, we are the consumers of the product so we have the right to demand. I support all the whiners who are not easily satisfied by the industries tricks and gimmicks.

The directions the industry is taking: Day one on disc DLC, Low quality games with plenty of bugs, Gameplay abandoned for cinematic events, Abused "Aliens vs Humans" themed games, Abused recycling in yearly sequels, Consideration of "used game banning", Consideration of "always online" gaming, etc, etc. They have to innovate alright, by doing a tight turn and changing direction.
