@AntiHaloist: They are doing it to prevent embarrassing themselves and to preserve their brand when people are subjected to stuttering rates of frame for playing VR with their standard PS4.
@rmiller365: I don't get all this talk about 4K gaming either. Gaming seems like a tool that Television Companies are trying to exploit to get us to buy 4K TV's. 4K TV's are the minority and will stay that way until they come down to 1080P price..for me at least.
@crxuchilbara: Wrong. The modular aspect of PC gaming means all I have to do is buy one or two new components and spend 20 minutes installing them to beat out any console whether it be 2020 or beyond.
@heydink: Well, deluded one, Doom says (let the application decide settings) that my mid-range PC can run its texture filtering on Ultra, with 4X EQAA, and 8X Anisotropic Filtering (60+ fps). I could take it higher, but don't want to spend the performance cost. I doubt your PS4 can produce visuals that look as good as that...no, I know it can't. All in all, I didn't even spend half of the ridiculous cost you are suggesting. PS4 is still a good machine, as is XB1- but, while Uncharted looks phenomenal on PS4- it would look insane on PC. Neo will not be the answer to beating PC either. All Neo will do is put PS4 back to the level of low mid pc. Also, I don't live in my Mom's Basement, WIlliam Shatner. I'm an IT Professional and I own my own property.
@Silver17: Agreed. I only use it with my laptops. I had it on my gaming pc and wound up reformatting my HDD back to 8.1 for performance and driver related issues. I would never put Win10 on my rig again unless there were MAJOR improvements.
@boaconstricta: ..,and you must be on drugs, friend. Let's take a moment and call the drug "Sony Kool Aid," PS4 is a great system and all- but the library is largely multiplat. XB1 may have not acheived a 90 or higher score on metacritic with any exclusive, but it has exponentially MORE exclusives (plus the same multiplats on PS4), exclusives that can reach the mid to upper 80's. Plus, how about the reviewers who don't report to metacritic? Did any of them give an XB1 exclusive 90+? Any game in the 80's is a great game, and worth owning. Or do you clowns just buy games reviewed at 90+? You must all have some very small game collections. Reviews are just opinions anyway, its insubstantial. But to say PS4 library destroys XB1 library is not only false, but it is another example of fanboy delusion.
