Cloud and Sephiroth in Dissidia!

-------The following is a random crazy moment that probably is happening due to lack of sleep and caffine. Please excuse any injuries due to being pushed out of the way in her desperate attempt to get closer to her point of interest. Any loss of hearing from the screams can not be blamed on the raving lunatic--------

*glomps Cloud and Sephy*

YAY!!!!! we get a picture finally! We want video now! :D

*does Zack's happy cactuar dance*

Ahem....*tries to compose herself*....nothing more to see here...Move along.

PS. Valkyrie Profile DS got a NA release date! March 17, 2009! Woot! .....Dissidia release date please SE? :P

Death Note Drawing + Star Ocean

Well here it is like I promised! Had to try another panel drawing, so this time its Light (on the left) and L (on the right) from Death Note. It turned out really good :D

Not sure who I will draw next... Im thinking maybe Sephiroth. I want to see if I can improve on my last one of him. He was one of the first ones I posted here and my shading has become better since then. Especially since I found a way to shade the clothes to look more like leather, thanks to my Genesis drawing. Plus its a request :D

...I also want to draw Roddick from Star Ocean: First Departure sometime, so possibly him next.

Which leads me into a little update on gaming: Ive been glued to my PSP playing Star Ocean First Departure. Im up to the town of Ionis and got Ronyx into the group. It was so funny when everyone got drunk in the inn  Ive mostly been using Roddick, Cyuss, Ilia, and Ioshua so far though Im trying to keep everyones level about the same. The last two characters Im going to try to pick up are T'Nique and Pericci.

Kefka Drawing!

Another drawing! Kefka was a request by lightwarrior179 I believe (thanks for the request :D ).

This isnt one of my better drawings :( Im sorry to all the Kefka fans for the errors I made. Normally Im a perfectionist, if I cant correct something I dont like then I do the whole thing all over again to try to make it better. However, characters that look like clowns break that rule :P There was no way I was going to start over again when it came out decent enough. The references I used were a bit of the Disssida artwork, a bit of the FFVI artwork, and some creative licence on my part.

So without further rambling, here is is.

I know I said less anime characters, more game characters...but my next one will be anime :P ... A woman's allowed to change her mind  I wanted to try another panel drawing and while watching Death Note over the weekend I knew I wanted to try Light and L. So that will be my next one, I just need to start shading it :D

Evil Wyrm of DOOM!

Nope this isnt about a DOOM game :) Just a quick little update on things and I needed a title better than "Gaming update" :P it will make sense in a minute...

Been playing a lot of FFXII. Im up to the part after finding Mjrn in the Henne Mines. I headed out into the jungle and ran into the Elder Wyrm and got my butt kicked. So Ill have to do a bit of leveling it looks like. Im fine until the darn thing casts every status effect under the sun on me :P Oh and one of my favorite parts so far was Vaan asking Fran how old she was  That made me almost fall out of my chair I was laughing so hard.

Also been playing some Star Ocean: First Departure, though Im not much further than I was before.

Still making progress with FFIV, Im up to the Passage of the Eidolons.

...I really, really need to finish some of my games that are half way done :?

Ever wanted to see Sephy stab Tifa with Masamune? Well heres a video I found on youtube that can grant your wish. I think it is amazing what people who make amv can do.

Uggh I wish the weather would make up its mind where I live. The temperature has been bouncing back and forth from warm to freezing. Wouldnt be surprised if I dont get a cold, its already messing with my sleep.

Im working on another drawing. I really liked the panel thing I did in my last one so I want to try another one like that at some point. But Ill be doing more game character drawings and less anime characters for awhile unless it was a request :D I think everyone likes them better

Haruka and Kantarou Drawing!

Yay another drawing! After my horrible attempt to draw Fai from Tsubasa, I decided to try something else and come back to that one later. This one is of Haruka (on the left) and Kantarou (on the right) from the anime, Tactics. I did something a bit different, spliting the page in half to make panels. I might have to draw these two again sometime since I had so much fun. Love this one :D

Dont know what my next one will be. Either one of the requests or something on my list :D

A Weekend of PS3 and Xbox360 Games

I got to play a bunch of games this weekend :D

First was Dead Space. Good game that scared the heck out of me. The sound was amazing, making me jump out of my chair. There was a part where the creature went into a vent and I was oblivous to the fact that they could actually come back and jump out of one close to me. I almost had a heartattack when it did

Fable II was next. I had more fun with this game because I dont do so well with the scarry games :P It was much better than the first Fable in my opinion. Love the dog and how you can interact with it but it still did its own thing. My favorite weapon was the Katana and pistol. The quests were good and so were the jobs. I also got to play it co-op a bunch which worked really well. It was funny because my brother had been playing tons which allowed him to buy buildings. Since I didnt have much money he let me take it all when we were in co-op. What we didnt realize was that all the rent he collects would also go straight to me  Fastest 200k ive ever made in a game I think :D

Also got to try some demos. Valkyria Chronicles was one I was excited to try and I really had fun with it. If I had a PS3 it would most likely be on my to get list. I love the graphics. Mirror's Edge was also very awesome. It will take awhile to get use to the different controls, but once you do it looks like it will be a great game.

I watched my brother play Fallout 3. I didnt bother to try it. Not really my kind of game.

And last but not least, more Devil May Cry 4 :P I never get tired of it

...thats all for now :D

A blog about everything under the Sun

 excuse the long blog and the random bouncing around to many topics

I know havent been around much this last week and I apologize to all the unions Im in. Especially to SER since Im an officer and I havent been a very good one :( Too many things going on right now and I havent been able to stop in as much as I usually do. Ive been incredibly indecisive with everything lately, for example this is my 4th time writing this blog  Im not kidding either :|

Plus Ive been having too much fun playing games  I guess thats a good reason to be MIA right? :P

I finished DMC2. And I guess all I can say is hmmm. I enjoyed the acrobatic feel to the battle system, how Dante could run up walls and flip made me feel like I was playing a character that was much more mature in his fighting style. Since this is the last one story wise, being set way after DMC4, it made sense that Dante was much more skilled. But that being said the battles were way easier than the other DMC games. There were points, a lot of points, where I swear I never had to use my sword

Story wise, the game was lacking compared to the others. Maybe if I play as Lucia and get her side as well it would come together better, which I plan to do at some point, but not before playing as Vergil in DMC3 :D Dante's voice actor was also rather weak in this game, the worst actually. Still love the one from DMC3 and 4 the best. Also Dante not having his traditional attitude was weird. Yet at the same time, since this game is set far from the others, I kept wondering what could have happened in Dante's past to change him.

Short. Very short. Like shorter than God of War: Chains of Olympus, short. That was disappointing. Maybe it was because I was use to the combat system after playing the 3 other games almost back to back? But even then you couldnt stretch it much. If they would have made it longer, fleshing out the story and adding Dante's attitude, then the game might have reached the level of love I have for the other 3 games. Glad I got to play it though, I still had fun.

Been playing more KH. Starting to warm up to it a bit more now, but still I find it annoying. The whole gummi ship thing is a pain and building one gives me a freaking headache

I wasnt sure if I was going to share this but decided what the heck :D Im actually writing a fan fic at the moment  My first attempt so its not very good. Why did a start writing a fan fic? No idea at all  Was listening to a song and the idea came to me. Then it kind of just wouldnt go away until I wrote it. So ummm...I might possibly share it when its done...but thats a BIG maybe. Because...well....its not suitable for everyone, will probably offend some fans...and some of the content will most likely offend some people...so Im afraid to share it:? Mostly Im writing it cause it wouldnt leave my brain until I did and I would constantly be thinking of things to add to it  Ive got about 25 hand written pages so far.

I had planned to finish my next drawing. I was working on drawing Fai from Tsubasa, but I hated what I had done. So Ill have to try again later.

Really enjoying watching Death Note, thanks to whoever suggested I watch it :) The last disc left on a cliffhanger and its driving me crazy waiting for the next disc! Hurry up Netflix!

Well I better stop and hit the submit button before I end up deleting this whole thing yet again

PS. If anyone can guess the game that my fan fic is based in and/or the main character, you get cookies! :P

Star Ocean: First Departure - First Impressions

Ive been able to get some time in on my first experience playing a Star Ocean game. Im loving it :D The game is really pretty on the PSP. The anime cutscenes are beautiful and the music is very nice. Im enjoying the combat. It feels like Tales of Eternia but with a 3D battlefield that allows you to move around more freely.

Im really surprised with the amount of voice acting. Much more than I expected from a port. Which reminds me, I have to try to figure out who does Roddick's voice. It sounds so familiar to me. I have only played about 3 hours so not much I can say about the story yet, but Im liking it so far.

Other than that I have been continuing to play a bunch of games, basically whatever I feel like playing at the time. Mostly Okami, FFXII, and SMT: Digital Devil Saga. Also been continuing FFIV *grumbles at the evil Tower of Babil*

Oh and Ive been trying to play Kingdom Hearts...I really, really want to like the game...but for some reason I cant get into it :( Im going to keep trying, Im probably just not far enough to get to all the good stuff :D

Edit: HAHAHAHAHA no wonder Roddick's voice sounded familiar to me! Its the same voice actor who does Cecil in FFIV

Scanner working again! New drawing

Woot finally fixed the issue with the scanner. So heres the drawing Ive been waiting to share, Cheza from the anime Wolf's Rain. I thought this one turned out pretty good. I used a picture of her from the intro of the anime where it is raining as the reference.

Just curious if anyone know if official sony PS1 memory cards imported from japan work on a NA PS2?

Thats it for now since my last blog was so big :D

My 100th Blog! FFVII, DoC and More!

 100 blogs? Seriously? Wow...I never thought when I started these in February of this year that I would ever write this much :P Thank you so much to all of my friends who read my thoughts, ideas, look at my art and even read my crazy "Its 3 in the morning and Im on a huge sugar rush" posts

Get ready for my long blog!

FFVII arrived in the mail today!!!! YAY! I practically ran back into the house when I found it in the mail box  The discs are in AMAZING condition. I didnt not expect them to look so nice. I applaud the previous owner for taking such good care of it. Clearly they cherished it as much as I now will. I started up the first disc and played for a bit to test it out. I had goosebumps through the whole thing, could not believe it still makes me this excited after so many years since I last played it. I did totally forget that I need a Playstation 1 memory card for game saves, so Ill be looking around for one. But I dont get to play it again until xmas  no need to rush to find one. Question though: I wouldnt need more than one 1MB memory card would I? The only games I can think of that Ill be using it for is FFVII, and Im also planning on getting FFVIII and IX.

I finished Dirge of Cerberus last night. And Im going to have to disagree with many people, I had fun playing it. Though I can understand why some gamers would not like it, with the gameplay being entirely different than any other Final Fantasy game and the way they did it. Was it in the same ballpark gameplay wise as games like Halo, Gears of War, CoD4, ect.? No. But did that make it bad? Again I have to say no.

Let me explain. As I have stated before, I normally do not pick shooters. I enjoyed Halo 3 and Gears of War though. Why? Because I played them co-op. Did I even play the single player? No. Why? For one simple reason: I have the worst aim in the world. Im not kidding. I over compensate and if I play alone while my brother is watching I can actually make him sick or cause him to have a headache  When I play co-op and I have problems, I have the other player to back me up.

So back to Dirge of Cerberus, you do have to aim, but its done differently. There is a huge crosshair and as soon as you get the enemy in that target a smaller crosshair will lock on. This allowed me to make shots that I otherwise would have been unable to do due to my crappy ability to aim. This is where I can understand why some gamers would not like this game. FPS fans would probably say this game was easy compared to other shooters but I very much enjoyed it.

Story wise, its FFVII what can I say  I have a soft spot for all of the characters, the world, and the history of FFVII. Learning more about Vincent's past was awesome...and this game gave me even more reasons to want to hurt Hojo...multiple times...with sharp pointy objects :P

While Im on the topic of Vincent, heres a great amv I found on youtube.

Vincent Valentine - Hero

In Anime news, finally the next disc of Tsubabsa arrived from netflix and I have watched part of it. Such a great anime :)

After watching it I think Ill be drawing Fai as my next piece of art :D Which reminds me, still cant seem to get my scanner to work for my Cheza drawing

Hmmm I think there might have been more stuff I wanted to say...but this blog is long enough  Hope everyone has a great weekend! *hands out cookies for her 100th blog party* :D
