[QUOTE="sixringz1"][QUOTE="chAzN93"] he will obviously be their back up 2 but you know they will play him at 1 with rip at 2 alot Master_Live
back up 2? So you go out on the first day of free agency and give a guy 11 million a year for 5 years to be a BACKUP? That makes ZERO SENSE. Either they are going to trade Rip or they have a roster that doesn't fit, and will be taken advantage of night in night out on the Defensive end

Imagine if they do that Rondo deal that have been floating around the league.

I don't know if that will work either cause Ray Allen was in that deal too. So once again you'd have 2 all star calibur 2 guards. That won't happen but something is going on here. There's no way anybody can tell me they're done dealing. Cause if they are, this lineup will get them killed. They will lose all their games 120-110. They'll have improved offense but ALWAYS be at a disadvantage on the defensive end

[QUOTE="sixringz1"][QUOTE="chAzN93"] haha unless you think stuckey is a solid one ben gordon will obviously be their 1 chAzN93
U must not be familiar with ben gordon. He's NEVER PLAYED PG in his life. He's a 2. He was a 2 at UConn. He was a 2 in Chi with Heinrich and now Rose at the 1

[QUOTE="sixringz1"][QUOTE="chAzN93"]ben gordon is a good pick up but i donno why they want vilanueva chAzN93
good pickup? where is he gonna play? Stuckey is their 1 and RIP is their 2. If they wanna play him in the backcourt w/ stuckey that means you'll have RIP at the 3 and Prince at the 4. That aint gonna work. There is NO WAY Rip can guard a SF. Can't happen. Maybe they are gonna trade Rip or Prince, cause right now, as assembled, that roster will not work

Grant Hill was definitely the best all around player on that list. McGrady and Arenas may be better natural scorers, but Hill in the 90's w/ Detroit was something special

[QUOTE="Master_Live"]HA, the hate from Lakers fans toward Shaq is priceless, how ungrateful you are. How dare you?andyboiii

No one is hating on Shaq, it's just ridiculous Slam has Shaq ranked ahead of the greatest Lakers center Kareem.

Stats wise Kareem>Shaq

Skills wise Kareem>Shaq

Championships Kareem>Shaq

Regular Season MVP Kareem>Shaq

the only thing Shaq has on Kareem is 1 more Finals MVP and that's it. Shaq not once throughout his entire career made the NBA's 1st or 2nd defensive teamwhile Kareem made the All Defensive Team 11 times.

Shaq made 3 All Defensive 2nd Teams. Just trying to help you out.

I will NEVER promote steals. You could go through every post i've ever made about MJ's Defense and forget "betting a penny", i'd bet you A LOT MORE that i NEVER praised his steals. In fact i have no idea how many steals he has because it's the most overrated statistic IMO.

Kinda liked Ariza's steals in the playoffs,,,just sayin. But until they keep stats on how many times a players gambling on D and missing a steal has hurt a team its not the most worthwhile stat. But Magic was a pretty smart player to say the least, I trust that his steals were meaningful and that he wasn't just recklessly gambling to the detriment of the team.He should get credit for his effort in that area.

Ariza's steals were HUGE. I'm not saying that EVERY steal is overrated. Hell Jordan's biggest shot of his career was a result of a steal. I just know the majority of them really don't have much to do with the person who actually ends up with the ball. Again i hate to knock Magic cause i like him, but not ONE nba all defensive 1st or 2nd team in his ENTIRE CAREER. That speaks volumes of what people thought about his D. You know DAMN WELL if MJ had never made an ALL D team that would be the FIRST thing you would come at me with EVERYTIME.

In my opinion you have to be an elite level player on both ends of the floor and Magic was, to say the least, a FAR BETTER offensive player than defensive player. Greatest point guard ever - Sure. Greatest PLAYER ever - Not in my book. I'll take Kobe over Magic and that should tell you something;)

Would you like to see Paul Williams fight at welterweight again?

IMO he is the most avoided fighter in the business. At his size, I think he would beat a lot of the fighters in the division right now. I think Floyd and all the other top welterweights should fight Paul Williams if they really want to be the best. He needs to be in the mix because the junior middle weight division just isn't as good.

No i think he needs to go to junior middleweight or even middleweight. I don't think anyone other than Mosley would give him a chance in the welterweight ddivision and who knows how much longer Mosley will be around (remember it was Mosley that gave Winky Wright his long awaited title shot, when people had been ducking him for years)

Will Shaq clog up the middle too much for Cleveland, maybe taking away from Lebrons strengh (thunder dunks)? I know lebron is apt to hit Shaq down low with great passes but.....

News flash:I AGREE WITH sixringz:shock:, The Cavs have other issues to address too. Personally I hope they make the finals against L.A. and Kobe rams one down Shaq's, aka Shaqclown, aka Slack, aka Snack's throat for the title winning basket of a 4 game sweep! Don't know which would be more sweeter for me, that or beating a healthy Boston by about 50 pts for the title. Unlike MJ, Shaq is one dude I don't care much for!

Come on Mont you know damn well you want to see Clv vs LA. I don't care about "tradition" and "great rivalries" or "revenge for the 08 finals". I don't care how much those 2 downplay it, they still don't like each other. Kobe vs Shaq AND LEBRON in the finals. Are U Kidding Me? Do you know how high the ratings would be for that. I can only imagine the puppet commercials. HAAAA HAAA!!!!!!!!!
