It's impossible to live up due to the development time and nostalgic pedigree of the previous two games. I love Ico and SotC, but if either came out today they would probably be skewered by critics and gamers. Just an assumption, I'm buying it day one regardless.
@facts23: I will admit, if your going to play it, the ps3 remaster is where it's at. The original had some slowdown issues--especially the final colossus. This game is easily in my top ten all time. Amazing scale and atmosphere.
Ouch. I was hoping this would be good, but I had a feeling after seeing a lot of gameplay, it would be subpar. The action looked fast and fun, but the platforming looked awkward. Now hearing about the fetch quest stuff towards the end killed it for me. It's going to have to be pretty cheap for me to try it now. Sad
@sonypony4eva: if you've never played it, your in for a treat. My personal opinion, the only flat out action game that's better is Bayonetta 2. Just laugh at the story and kill a million angels. Great fun.
@Themostunclean: Not to mention, HDR is what really makes the difference. The average person sits 9 feet or more from their living room screen. You would need larger than a 65" screen to see the pixel difference. Once again, the HDR is what is noticeable across the room. Like LGs line of OLED tvs. There 2014 model was 1080p and pretty much every reviewer said it looked better than the newer 4k screens coming out. The contrast ratio is what is making the biggest difference. Now, if I could swing it, I would buy LGs 2016 model. 4k OLED with Dolby vision HDR. It is glorious. If you get to check it out, it is the best image I have ever seen on any screen. Expensive though.
Why Microsoft? I just want Guardian Heroes, Radiant Silvergun, and Bangi-o. Is that too much to ask? I also want a free Xbox Scorpio and some chicken wings. Is that too much to ask?
JUST DO IT!!! MAKE YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE!!! That Shia Labeouf would've made Suicide Squad a hit. He'd be yelling at Batman and the Joker. I would watch that.
